Residence of union minister RameswarTeli in Duliajan, Assam, was attacked by the anti-CAB protesters on Wednesday night after the Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha.
“Properties were damaged at the minister’s residence on Wednesday night by anti-CAB protesters,” officials said, without disclosing further.

Stones were also peled at the residences of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Dibrugarh and houses of BJP MLA Prasanta Phukan and party leader Subhash Dutta were also vandalised.
The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to provide Indian citizenship to non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, was passed in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
Widespread protest against the contentious Bill was witnessed across the Northeast, especially in Assam and Tripura.

Internet services in Assam and Tripura were suspended and a curfew was imposed in Guwahati as well.
