The contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill or CAB was passed in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday around 9 pm and after that, a fresh wave of protests began in random areas of Guwahati.

For almost two hours, various streets of the city were blocked by the protesters as slogans against the BJP-led Assam government continued to grow louder and louder.
