Guwahati: The Assam Postal Circle is playing a pivotal role in the delivery of invitation cards for the prestigious ‘At Home Reception’ hosted by the President of India Droupadi Murmu on Independence Day 2024.
The esteemed event will take place on August 15 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. For the first time, the invitations will be extended to the distinguished achievers from various fields, including common citizens who have made extraordinary contributions in their respective domains, the Ministry of Communications said in a press statement.

This includes doctors, AYUSH practitioners, agriculturalists, teachers, energy conservation champions and beneficiaries of various government schemes such as PM Awas Yojna, SVANidhi Yojna, PM Vishwakarma Yojna and PM Ujjwala Yojna, it said.
The statement added that the Assam Postal Circle ensures that each invitation is handled with the highest respect and diligence.
