Advanced polling personnel for altogether 43 polling stations under Mangaldoi election district of Assam have already moved on Tuesday for their destinations located in very hard accessibility areas.

Out of these hard accessible polling booths, a total of 29 fall under 67 Mangaldai LAC (SC) whereas the remaining 14 fall under 66 Sipajhar LAC.

The team of polling officials along with their security persons moved in their allotted vehicles kept at the Mangaldai College campus.

The authority has already made available a total of 612 numbers of various kinds of vehicles for the polling officials. The Darrang district administration has made special arrangements for the smooth movement of the on duty poll officials for which a special welfare cell under the supervision of DDC Sweety Gogoi Kalita has been set up in the college campus.

This was stated by deputy commissioner Ghanshyam Dass while addressing media in his conference hall on Tuesday evening in presence of additional deputy commissioner Kulen Sarmah.

Moreover a medical kit comprising first aid, ORS besides drinking water bottles for the poll officials and security personnel have been arranged, the senior officials of district further stated. They also assured resolving all grievances of the poll officials in an urgent manner.
