The Assam Cabinet in its meeting held at Dispur under the chairmanship of chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took several decisions on Wednesday.
The Himanta Biswa Sarma Cabinet decided that Bodoland Welfare Department and Bodoland Administrative Staff College shall be created to enhance the administrative capacity of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

The State Cabinet also decided that fund disbursement process of Kushal Konwar Briddha Pension Scheme & Indira Miri Widow Pension Scheme shall be simplified.

The Cabinet decided that funds would be released to 13 lakh beneficiaries of Kushal Konwar Sarbajanin Briddha Pension Achoni, 1,60,000 beneficiaries of Deen Dayal Divyang Yojana & 1,70,000 beneficiaries of Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme on 10th of every month.
Bodoland Welfare Department and Bodoland Administrative Staff College shall be created to enhance administrative capacity of Bodoland Territorial Region. #AssamCabinet

During the Cabinet meeting, it was decided that a Guardian Minister shall be allotted to each district administration for better implementation of schemes/ projects and other public welfare activities.
The Assam Cabinet in its meeting on Wednesday offered heartfelt condolences and prayers at the passing away of MLA Majendra Narzary, who represented Gossaigaon constituency for four times.
