Assam Government offices resumed functioning from Tuesday amid COVID-19 lockdown.
All heads of the departments have been instructed that the functioning of the offices shall be as per government instruction to ensure maximum 33 per cent of the employee in the cadre of Grade-II, III & IV as per requirement to attend office for smooth functioning of the offices.
The Assam Secretariat also witnessed activities on Tuesday morning as officials and employees started coming.
Similarly, government offices in all districts across the State have also started functioning adhering to certain guidelines laid down by both the State and Central Governments.

With rotation basis employees’ attendance, all those attending office are advised to strictly maintain social distance and wear face masks.
All office heads are also directed to provide sanitizers in the offices.
The officials and employees are also asked to have tiffin on rotation basis.
Meanwhile, the police administration has pulled up their sleeves against those vehicles defying lockdown.
In Guwahati, police confiscated several vehicles, both four-wheelers and two-wheelers that have taken the roads defying the lockdown.
