The NSS unit of Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS), Guwahati, distributed hand sanitizers to the locals in their campus on Thursday.
The hand sanitizers are being prepared at GIPS laboratory as per the guidelines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) with the help of faculty members.
During the distribution, GIPS principal Gouranga Das along with the faculty members briefed the locals about the various precautions to be taken for preventing the spread of coronavirus.
Around 200 bottles of sanitizers were distributed during the programme.
Hand sanitizers were also distributed to the officials of the Azara Police Station maintaining guidelines of social distancing.
