Akhil Gogoi was booked under Section 18 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
Moreover, sedition charges have also been lodged against Akhil Gogoi.
Earlier in August last year, a special NIA court in Guwahati also rejected the bail plea of Akhil Gogoi.
The special NIA court relied on the evidence collected against Akhil Gogoi and observed that it cannot be said that the accusations are wholly improbable.
