The engine of 05604 Ledo-Guwahati Express Special train derailed on Monday in a place between Ledo and Margherita station in Assam’s Tinsukia district.

However, no one was injured in the incident that happened on Sunday.

The train resumed its journey again at 8-10 pm on Sunday, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR)

Informing about the incident, the chief public relations officer (CPRO) of NFR, Subhanan Chanda in a statement said: “05604 Ledo-Guwahati Express Special train, the engine of which derailed today between Ledo and Margherita station, resumed its onward journey at 20-10 hrs.”

“As informed earlier, there were no casualties or any injury to any passengers of the train,” Chanda added.

The cause of the engine’s derailment is yet to be known.
