Dhubri Police on Saturday launched a massive drive against the illegal game of teer and arrested four gamblers.
The police also seized a cash amount of Rs 20,000 from the possession of the gamblers.
Trinayan Bhuyan, deputy superintendent of police (HQ), Dhubri said acting on a tip-off, the police conducted raids in various locations across the district.

Bhuyan informed that during the operation, they were able to nab two persons from Tamarhar area, one from Alomgaanj bazaar area and one from Golakganj bazaar area under different police stations in Dhubri district.
The arrested persons have been identified as Fazlur Rahman, aged about 58 years and Debabroto Saha, aged about 29 years from Tamarhat, Abu Bakkar Ali, aged about 40 years of Alomganj area and Raju Saha, aged about 35 years of Golakganj area.
Necessary lawful follow-up action has been initiated against the arrested persons, police said.
Meanwhile, in another drive, led by Dhubri Town Sub-Inspector Mahidul Jaman, one drug peddler identified as Sahbuddin Mollah, son of Amzad Ali Mollah, a resident of Aironjangala Part 3 village of Dhubri district, has been arrested.
During the operation, 72 bottles of contraband RC Kuff cough syrup were seized from the possession of the Sahbuddin Mollah.
