Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi is on a 2-day tour of Assam for election campaigning.

Priyanka Gandhi said, “Assam’s diverse culture is Assam’s strength.”

“Met and interacted with Assamese people and realised that the people of Assam are determined to save the State’s diverse culture,” said Priyanka Gandhi.

Priyanka Gandhi added: “the Congress party stands with the people of the State in this fight to save Assam. Joi Aai Axom.”

Priyanka Gandhi also interacted with the women labourers of tea garden and Self Help Group members.

Addressing a gathering of tea garden workers, Priyanka Gandhi urged the people to wisely elect their leader.

“People need to recognise the genuine people’s leaders. If the people are not able to recognise their leaders, they cannot uplift their living,” said Priyanka Gandhi.
