Just at a time when all the entire state of Assam is in the grip of festivities, fervour and gaiety of ongoing Durga Puja celebration, Darrang Police is busy conducting successful operations against the criminals.

According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Darrang  district, Sreejith T, in connection with a burglary case registered at Sipajhar Police Station, an operational Darrang Police team on Tuesday night arrested two criminals from Baihata Chariali area of Kamrup district and managed to recover a huge quantity of valuable stolen electronic goods including one laptop, one printer and 39 numbers of mobile handsets among others.

The arrested criminals have been identified as Nazrul Ali (24) of Patrapur village and Kalyan Deka (22) of village Balikuchi Bazar, both under Baihata Chariali police station.

Earlier, Mohshin Ali, a local trader of Dumunichowki bazaar, recently lodged complaint at Sipajhar police station that a laptop, a printer and around fifty numbers of mobile handsets have been stolen from his shop in an incident of burglary, the SP added.
