Darrang deputy commissioner, Dilip Kumar Borah on Friday called upon the youths to develop their skills and acquire knowledge to niche out a livelihood.
Bora was speaking at a district level workshop on livelihood generation for youths.
The Assam State Skill Development Mission under the Assam department of skill, employment and entrepreneurship organized the workshop titled “Sankalp” in the Mangaldai College in Mangaldai.

Borah interacted with the participating youths and cited various examples of how skill and determination can create possibilities of growth even in small businesses.
“With skill and determination, an entrepreneur can succeed even with a limited investment,” Borah said.
He also discussed the potential of opening up diversified livelihood opportunities once the proposed Skill University in Mangaldai becomes functional.
