On the day when Assam’s overall COVID19 tally stands at 13,336, a total 397 more patients, who were earlier infected by the virus, have been discharged from various hospitals across the state.
Sharing the good news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Wednesday said: “Discharge Alert. 397 more patients have been discharged.”
The health minister also said: “Amid rising number of #COVID cases, it’s heartening that we’ve managed a good recovery rate.”

With the release of 397 patients, the total number of discharged cases in Assam has risen to 8,726.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 22 people, including six on Wednesday while 3 cases have migrated from the state.
Assam currently has 4,585 active COVID19 cases.
“Total Discharged Patients – 8726. Active Patients – 4585,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
In the last 24 hours, Assam has recorded death of 8 COVID19 positive patients.
With 482 deaths and 22,752 positive cases in the last 24 hours, the number of India’s COVID19 cases has reached 7,42,417 including 20,642 deaths, 2,64,944 active cases, and 4,56,831 recoveries.
