A 10-year-old child died after falling from roof top of a building at Graham Bazar locality in Eastern Assam’s Dibrugarh town on Tuesday.

The deceased child has been identified as Niraj Prasad.

The deceased student Niraj Prasad was a student of class 6 of Luxmi Mandir Gandhi Adarsh Vidyalaya.

According to locals, the child was flying kite at the roof top of a two-storied building near his residence.

Accidentally he fell from the roof and sustained grievous injuries.

The child was immediately rushed to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH).

Later the child was shifted to a private nursing home where the doctors declared him dead.

“We heard commotion and rushed to the spot. There we saw that the child lay on the ground after falling from the roof top of a building,” said a local.
