Assam reported 8 more deaths due to Covid19 infection and 444 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his Twitter handle on Wednesday evening said the new positive cases were detected out of 61,642 tests.

Assam’s overall positivity percentage stands at 0.72%.
Of the new positive cases, the Kamrup Metro district reported 94 cases.
The state’s recovery rate stood at 98.13% on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Assam reported 9 deaths due to Covid19 infection and a total of 493 positive cases.
Assam’s overall Covid19 positivity percentage was 0.70% and the positive cases were detected out of 70,893 tests.
On Tuesday, the Kamrup Metro district reported 138 positive cases.
The state’s recovery rate stood at 98.08% on Tuesday.
