More than 2 crore Covid19 vaccine doses have been administered in Assam so far, said state health minister Keshab Mahanta on Saturday.
Informing this, Assam health minister Mahanta tweeted, “Glad to share that over 2 crore doses of vaccinations have been administered in Assam.”
“It was only possible due to the support of Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji, and the guidance of Hon’ble CM @himantabiswa dangoriya & Hon’ble Union Health Minister @mansukhmandviya,” Mahanta tweeted.

Health minister Mahanta has extended thanks to the health workers of the state for their support in making vaccination drive a success.

“Heartfelt gratitude to the health workers for working relentlessly and making the #VaccinationDrive a success,” health minister Mahanta tweeted.
According to the state health department till Saturday evening, a total of 2,00,02,659 doses of the Covid19 vaccine were administered during the ongoing vaccination drive.
According to the data recorded on the Cowin app till Saturday evening (September 11, 2021), so far a total of 1,63,31,987 people have received the first dose of the Covid19 vaccine and 36,70,669 people have received the second shots of the vaccine.
After the vaccination drive launched in Assam in January this year along with other states, Assam was able to administer 1 crore doses of the vaccine on July 27, 2021.
From July 28 till date, Assam has crossed the mark of 2 crore vaccine doses administered within 46 days.
