The Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) G P Singh on Friday urged the people of Assam to be careful while writing and forwarding posts on various social media platforms.

Singh’s message came after the mobile internet services were restored in Assam at 9 am on Friday after a gap of 10 days.

In a tweet, Singh stated,

Friends, the mobile internet services are being restored to enable people to go about life in a normal manner.

Please be wise in writing, forwarding posts on various social media platforms. Let’s build a stronger Assam together. Looking forward to continued support,” he added.

The restoration of mobile internet services came six hours after the Gauhati High Court ordered the internet service providers to resume services on Thursday.
