Assam has registered 6 more COVID19 positive cases on Sunday taking the state total to 358.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said all the infected patients are from the quarantine centre at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.

While two of the infected persons are from West Karbi Anglong district, two are from Hojai district and the two others are from Guwahati and Nalbari.
“Alert ~ Six persons at Sarusajai quarantine centre test #COVID19+. 2 each from West Karbi Angling; 1 each from Nalbari & Guwahati,” tweeted health minister Sarma.
With the new cases, the number of COVID19 positive cases in the state has increased to 294.

Earlier, a total of 57 COVID19 patients were discharged from the hospitals in the state after their recovery from the disease.
The disease has so far claimed the lives of 4 persons in Assam while 2 cases migrated from the state.
“Total cases 358. Recovered 57. Active cases 294. Deaths 04. Migrated 03,” he added.
According to the Union health ministry website, India has so far recorded a total of 1,31,868 COVID19 positive cases with 3,867.
A total of 54,440 COVID19 patients have been discharged from various hospitals across India after their complete recovery while one patient has been migrated.
