With the demise of three more positive patients due to COVID19 infections in Assam, the death toll in the state has increased to 101.

Sharing the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sama in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status said the victims are 40-year-old Morning Pohleng, 70-year-old Lila Paul, both from Cachar district and 68-year-old Hiramon Thakur from Golaghat district.

“Very sad to share the demise of three more #COVID19 patients today~ Late Morning Pohleng (40) and Late Lila Paul (70) of Cachar & Late Hiramon Thakur (68) of Golaghat.”

Health minister Sarma has expressed his condolence at the demise of the three more COVID19 positive patients due to infections.

“My deepest condolences to their bereaved families. Prayers,” Sarma said.

Assam so far has registered 40,269 COVID19 positive cases.

With the demise of 3 more positive cases, the number of active COVID19 cases in the state stands at 9708 while 3 cases migrated from the state.
