The army and police in a joint operation nabbed one suspected cadre of the People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK) from Amtereng under Baithalangso police station in Assam’s West Karbi Anglong district.
The apprehended suspected PDCK cadre has been identified as Khorsing Engleng, a resident of Amtereng in West Karbi Anglong district.
The PDCK cadre was nabbed at around 3 pm from his residence.
The police have recovered a .22 mm pistol, 6 ammunitions, 2 mobile phone handsets and 2 SIM cards.
Engleng is currently in the custody of Baithalangso police.
On May 31, 2019, during a joint operation, the police and army nabbed two armed militants belonging to the People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK) from West Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
Based on secret information, the army and police carried out a joint operation and nabbed the two PDCK militants from Bakulia area in West Karbi Anglong district on May 31, 2019.
Defence sources claimed that one .22 pistol along with a magazine, 6 rounds of ammunition, 3 mobile phones, 6 SIM cards 3 memory cards, Rs 5,855 in cash and other items were recovered from their possession.
