Assam sprint queen Hima Das passed the Higher Secondary final examination 2019 by scoring 70 per cent marks, the results of which were declared on Saturday.
Hima, who is a student of Dhing College in Nagaon appeared for the HS final examination in the Arts stream and also secured letter marks in Assamese besides securing first division.
She scored a total of 349 marks out of 500. Hima got 63 in English, 84 in Assamese, 60 in Advanced Assamese, 75 in Political Science, 67 in Education and 46 in Geography.
The brilliant athlete is extremely happy with her results. She wishes to pursue her higher studies in New Delhi.
Hima, who is undergoing training at Patiala for the upcoming Olympics, came to her home to appear for her HS final examinations in February.
She expressed her gratitude to her teachers who were instrumental in making her passed the HS examinations with flying colours.
Hima’s teachers had sent all the books and study materials to her so that she can prepare for her HS exam without any hassles in her athletic training.
Hima who has brought laurels to Assam with her brilliant performance in athletic competitions also brought accolades today for her college with her good performance.
