Sayan Mazumdar of Darrang College in Sonitpur and Bitupan Arandhara of Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon bagged the top spot in the Science stream of the Assam Higher Secondary Examinations, 2019 results of which were declared on Saturday.
Both the toppers secured 478 marks out of a total of 500.
In the Arts stream, Khshboo Firdous of Brilliant Academy Junior College in Darrang district of Assam bagged the first position with total marks of 478.
While in the Commerce section, Ashim Sarkar of Vivekananda Junior College of Cachar district in Barak Valley topped the list of successful candidates securing total marks of 474.

The overall pass percentage recorded this year is 80.57 per cent. A total of 2,42,954 candidates appeared for the exam this year.
Eastern Assam’s Sivasagar district topped the district wise performance in the Science stream with a pass percentage of 93.42 per cent. In the Arts stream Dhemaji emerged as the most successful district with a pass percentage of 89.52 per cent and in Commerce, Nalbari topped the merit list in Commerce stream with a pass percentage of 97.79 per cent
The other position holders in the Science stream are:
The second position is bagged by Daisy pathak of Silchar Government Boys HS School of Cachar district and Dishant Saikia of Tezpur Bengali Boys HS School in Sonitpur securing totaling 477 marks.
The third position went to Hridi Priyam Sarma of Ramanujan Junior College of Nagaon securing total marks of 476.
The fourth position is shared by Diptadeep Bhattacharjee of Salt Brook Academy in Dibrugarh and Hirak Jyoti Hazarika of Matrix Junior College in Nagaon totaling 475 marks.
The fifth position is shared by three candidates. They are Partha Pratim Saharia of Deomornoi HS School in Darrang, Ayan Koushik Mahanta and Bishal Boruah of Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon. All three totaled 473 aggregate.
The sixth position is shared by Abhilesh Thakuria of Annundo Ram Barooah Academy of Barpeta, Namrata Nath of Bongaigaon Refinery HS School in Chirang and Tannayoee Hazarika of Salt Brook Academy in Dibrugarh, Imadul Hussaain of Pragjyotika Junior College in Jorhat, Saptadweep Saha of Sai Vikash Junior College in Kamrup (M) and Subhra Jyoti Paul of Darrang College in Sonitpur. They secured total marks of 472.
The seventh position is bagged by Risshiman Sharma of Pragya Academy Junior College in Jorhat securing total of 471 marks.
The eighth position is shared by Sukanya Phukan of Pragya Academy Junior College in Jorhat, Jibanjyoti Kalita of Sai Vikash Junior College in Kamrup (M) and Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon totaling 470 marks.
The ninth position is bagged by Abijnan Barhoi of Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon securing 469 marks in aggregate.
The tenth position is shared by Nikhita Pathak of Bongaigaon HS School in Bongaigaon, Titikhya Nath of Salt Brook Academy in Dibrugarh, Puspa Gupta of Concept Junior College of Nagaon, Kaustuv Kishor Kalita of Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon and Madhumita Barman of Chamata H S School in Nalbari.
In the Art stream, the other position holders are:
Second position is bagged by Kaushik Kachari of Pragjyotish Junior College in Jorhat and Gitanjali Borthakur of Concept Junior College in Nagaon. They totaled 475 marks.
Third position went to Kanyashree Bhagavaty of Crecent Academy in Jorhat who secured 474 aggregate, while the fourth position went to Jupitara Sarma of Ranjit Sarma Academy in Darrang who secured a total of 472.
The fifth position is shared by jagamuhan Kalita of Krishnaguru Mahavidyalaya Junior of Barpeta and Shruti Sonowal of R D Junior College in Tinsukia. Both of them secured 470 marks.
The sixth position is bagged by Satabdee Saikia while the seventh position is bagged by Shameen Sultana, both from Crecent Academy in Jorhat. They secured 469 and 468 marks respectively.
The eighth position is bagged by Srutismrita Basishtha of Ranjit Sarma Academy Junior College in Darrang. She secured 467 aggregate.
The ninth position is shared by Dipankar Das of Brilliant Academy Junior College in Darrang, Manik Ray of Bidyapara Boys H S School in Dhubri, Monisha Bora of Furkating College in Golaghat, Anshuman Gogoi of Pragjyotika Junior College in Jorhat and Manashi Das of Bezera Anchalik College in Kamrup (R). All of them secured 466 total marks.
The 10th position is shared by Kripamay Das of Krishnaguri Mahavidyalaya Junior in Barpeta, Gunjan Das of Assam Jatiya Bidyalay in Kamrup (Metro) and Sibani Nath of Genius Academy Junior College in Lakhimpur securing total of 464 marks.
In the Commerce stream, the other position holders are:
Second position is bagged by Nibedita Gogoi of Crecent Academy in Jorhat anf Ayushi Jain of K C Das Commerce College in Kamrup (Metro) securing a total of 468 marks.
The third position is bagged by Neha Agarwalla of Gauhati Commerce College in Kamrup (M) securing total of 465 marks, while the fourth position is bagged by Arunabh Nath also of Gauhati Commerce College in Kamrup (M) securing total of 461 marks.
The fifth position is bagged by Rahul Roy of Guahati Commerce College securing total of 460 marks.
The sixth position is shared by Tanisha Alampuria of Geetanjali Junior College in Nagaon and Ankur Baruah of R D Junior College in Tinsukia securing total of 459.
The seventh position is shared by Hansika Chawla of K C Das Commerce College in Kamrup (M), Harsh Golchha of Karimganj Junior College of Science in Hailakandi and Pratibha Baishya of Nalbari Commerce College. They aggregated 458 marks.
The eighth position is shared by Disha Jain of K C Das Commerce College and Priyanshu Agarwalla of Margherita College in Tinsukia. Both of them secured 457 total marks.
The ninth position is bagged by Brinda Roy of Vivekananda Junior College in Cachar and Mithilesh PD Sharma of R D Junior College in Tinsukia securing an aggregate of 455 marks.
The 10th position is shared by Muskaan Pachisia, Jagruti Sethia and Ishika Agarwal, all from K C Commerce College. The trio secured an aggregate of 454 marks.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) declared its higher secondary examination, 2019 results officially in its website at 9 am.
Earlier on Friday, the controller of examinations, Pankaj Borthakur, had said that results will be made available to all the school and colleges through email positively at 9 am.
For the first time this year, the board is using email to dispatch and make available the results to all the schools together.
A total of 2,42,843 candidates have appeared the Higher Secondary Final Examinations this year including 1,86,187 belonging to Arts stream, 37,455 belonging to Science stream and 18,291 of Commerce stream.
Apart from the AHSEC website and email to the schools and colleges, the Council is also going to make the results available through different websites which includes, www.hsinfo.in, www.ahsec.nic.in, www.indiaResults.com, www.knowyourresult.com,www.ExamResult.net, www.resultd.shiksha, www.exametc.com, www.schools9.com, www.jagranjosh.com, httpp://resultsamarujala.com, www.assamresult.in www.iResults.net, and www.EduAssam.com
