Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jeevan B. and a businessman from North Lakhimpur donated money to the next of kin of the martyred CRPF personnels in the Pulwama terror strike.

This was announced during a tribute ceremony organized at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Lakhimpur at North Lakhimpur on Monday.

DC Dr Jeevan B. donated a month’s salary for the families of the martyred jawans.

Rajesh Malpani, a businessman and ex-scribe from North Lakhimpur donated Rs. 50 thousand to the family of Maneswar Basumatary, the martyred CRPF jawan from Assam in the attack and another Rs. 51 thousand to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund meant for assistance to the families of the slain personnel.

Malpani along with his wife Saroj Malpani and son Saurav presented both the amounts in cheques to Deputy Commissioner Lakhimpur. Speaking on the occasion DC Dr Jeevan asked his office staff to donate for that cause according to their capacity.
