Along with other districts of the State, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is going to hold the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2018 on December 30 next at four venues of Sivasagar district.
The centres for the examination in the district are Sivasagar Girls’ College, Sibsagar Commerce College, Bir Lachit Borphukan College and Fuleswari Girls’ HS School.

For smooth and fair conduct of the examination, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has banned the use of mobile phones or any other electronic and mechanical communication devices during the ensuing Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2018. Possession of barred items like mobile phone, Bluetooth device, earphone, digital watch or any other electronic/ mechanical communication device inside the examination hall will be considered as adoption of unfair means and the candidate will be debarred from appearing the examination and may be disqualified from appearing in any or all examinations conducted by the Commission.
Water bottles, ladies purse etc. are also not allowed inside the examination hall. The items allowed inside the hall are the e-admission certificate, valid identity proof with photograph and ball point pen with blue or black ink. Further, the candidates may carry a cardboard or clipboard where nothing is written.
It may be mentioned that the district administration has taken adequate measures to ensure safety and security during the examination. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar, Bidit Das has been designated as the Nodal Officer. Further, two Executive Magistrates have been notified for maintenance of law and order in the venue on the day of the examination.
The Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar, Pallav Gopal Jha while extending best wishes to all the candidates of the district appearing in the examination, also called on them to maintain proper discipline and decorum during the examination. He also sought all out cooperation from the public in general for smooth conduct of the examination in the district.
