A 50-girls group from 50 Kendriya Vidyalaya from the five states of northeast region visited Tawang and forward areas as part of three days visit to border areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

The students experienced the challenging service conditions in the forward areas with an aim to enhance awareness among the young minds about Indian Army and give them an idea of the harsh terrain and weather conditions along with the sensitive Line of Actual Control (LAC) along China in Tawang.

The students were taken to Bumla located at an altitude of 15000 ft and Tawang War Memorial where they paid homage to the Martyrs of 1962 war.

A weapons and equipment  display including Artillery Guns was also organized for the students where Brig Zubin Bhatnagar, Commander of the Tawang Garrision interacted and motivated the young girls to join the Indian Armed Forces as Officer.

The excitement was visible on the face of the young girls who were completely overwhelmed to see the Army operating at such an altitude in close coordination with Civic administration.
