As part of the ‘Pay Back to Society Group’ mission, officers of the Indian armed forces in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday organised various motivational interaction programmes across the State.

In order to inspire the students of schools and colleges and youths to inculcate the sense of nationalism, positivity and life loaded with ambitions at the Government Higher Secondary School in Bazarline, Seppa, the Indian armed forces organised an interaction programme.

Delivering motivational speeches during the programme, the visiting team comprising Wing Commander Takio Teji and Majors Tero Keyang and T.C. Tayum interacted with the students of GHSS Bazarline, GHSS Seppa and Government Model College Seppa and urged them to grasp the opportunity to serve the nation by joining the armed forces.

Briefing about the objectives of the mission, the team elaborated on the salient features of the armed forces and motivated the zealous participants on values of dedication, hard work and discipline to succeed in life.

Sharing their personal experiences, the officers explained about the benefits and multi-faceted opportunities associated with the armed forces and encouraged the participants to find their career in armed forces.

CO Pooza Sonam Natung also interacted and motivated the young participants.

DDSE Duken Kato, government officials, principals and teachers were also present in the programme.

At Tezu: The ‘Pay Back to Society’ programme was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Tezu on Tuesday, wherein a motivational interaction was organised by the Arunachalee Armed Forces Commissioned officers. The programme was attended by the DDSE Tezu M. Linggi, all teachers of GHSS, Tezu and officers and officials of the Education Department.

Linggi thanked the visiting armed forces officers for conducting a programme with a noble cause and encouraged the students to derive maximum benefit from it. The officers who took part in the programme were Col Koj Tari, LT Cdr Chow Ronie Chowpoo, and Lt Zoukhamgam Singpho.

Lt Cdr Chowpoo of Indian Navy said that joining the Indian armed forces will provide them with the job security, financial stability, prestige, respect and adventure. He hoped to see more youths of the State joining the armed forces in the future.

Lt Singpho of 6 Jat Regiment told the students that despite hailing from a small village from Bordumsa and being the only child in his family, he joined the Army to serve the nation. He advised the students to work hard and remain focused on their goal.

At Namsai: The trio of Colonel Tari, Lt Commander Chowpoo and Lt Singpho attended a similar programme at Namsai Town Club on Tuesday. Local MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tapasya Raghav, ADC Bijoy Talukdar, SDO Oring Lego, Maj Sourav from 20 Madras Regiment were amongst others present in the programme.

Around 400 students from various colleges and schools participated in interactive session.

At Aalo: A similar programme by a group of commissioned officers of the armed forces was held in Gumin Kiin, Aalo on Tuesday. Hundreds of students from Higher Secondary School, Nehru Memorial Higher Secondary School and NEFTU participated. The programme was led by Major General Jarken Gamlin, with Lt. Commander (Navy) Rige Bagra and Major Nyajum Rida Jilen.

At Roing: The ‘Pay Back to Society’ programme garnered a huge response from the students on Tuesday during an interactive session with Major Ponung Doming of 52 Engineer Regiment and Captain Ligang Sera of 3 Naga Regiment at the Government HS School, Roing.

Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom advised the students to take inspiration from Major Doming and Captain Sera to change their lives and achieve their dreams.

Maj Doming highlighted the advantages and opportunities that are given to a person joining the armed forces.

Capt Sera highlighted job satisfaction, timely promotion, respectable pay package and allowances, learning the values of responsibility, maturity and respect and discipline and time management in armed forces as desirable aspects of the job.

Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng and DDSE Ego Doye were present during the programme.
