Keeping in view of the spike in Covid19 positive cases, the Arunachal Pradesh government has revised the charges of Covid19 tests.
The Arunachal Pradesh Governor has issued a notification on the revised rates of Covid19 tests –RAT) (Rapid Antigen Test), RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction) and TrueNat tests.
Informing about the revised charges, chief secretary to the Arunachal Pradesh government, Naresh Kumar in a notification issued on Wednesday (April 14) said the decision has been taken in view of the evolving Covid19 pandemic situation in the country and taking into consideration the various advisories from the Union health & family welfare ministry.

The charges for Covid19 testing have been revised for Arunachal Pradesh in partial modification to the Arunachal Pradesh government’s notification No. Secy. (Health)/SOP-11/2020, dated December 18, 2020.
According to the fresh notification issued by the Arunachal Pradesh government, the revised rate of RT-PCR/TrueNat test has been fixed at Rs 500 per test.
As per the notification, the revised rate of RAT has been fixed at Rs 200 per test.
The revised “charges are issued for strict compliance of all with immediate effect”, the notification said.
Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh government has restricted marriage gatherings to 100 people.
The gathering for festivals, religious, cultural, prayers and rituals shall be restricted to 50 people following Covid appropriate behavior (wearing of mask, sanitization and maintaining physical distance), the notification said.
According to the Covid19 bulletin released at 8:40 pm on April 13, 2021, Arunachal Pradesh recorded 14 new Covid19 positive cases out of 638 samples tested.
Of the new cases, 7 were symptomatic and 7 were asymptomatic cases.
With the new cases detected, the Covid19 tally of Arunachal Pradesh increased to 16,902 while 16791 people were discharged.
Covid19 infection has claimed so far 56 people so far and the death rate stands at 0.33% while the recovery rate is 99.34%.
There are currently a total of 55 active Covid19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh.
