Arunachal Pradesh’s 15-year-old boy Kumar Lige Basar has received an invitation from Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to witness moon landing of Chandrayaan-2 live.
He has been selected to witness the historic moment by ISRO through the Chandrayaan 2 quiz competition.
Basar is a Class X student of Vivekendra Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan.
He will witness the Chandrayaan-2 landing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other scientists on September 7.
Congratulating Basar, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu tweeted, “Feels proud to know that a Class X student from #Arunachal, Kumar Lige Basar of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan will join Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodiJi to witness the landing of #Chandrayaan2 selected through Chandrayaan quiz competition. Congratulations Lige Basar!”
ISRO recently organized the Chandrayaan 2 quiz competition online from August 10, 2019, to August 25, 2019.
The winners of the competition were selected among students of Class VIII to Class X.
