Arunachal Pradesh home and rural development minister Bamang Felix during a review meeting on Monday highlighted the poor performances of a few districts in rural welfare projects and suggested revamping of the workforce.

Felix underlined the deficiencies while chairing a state-level review meeting of all centrally-sponsored schemes under the rural development (RD) department along with basic MIS training at the Dorjee Khandu Auditorium of the State Assembly in Itanagar.

Felix stressed on proactive participation of all stakeholders to achieve the expected target.

He also sought focus on transforming the rural people of the state and advised the officials of the department to ensure timely uploading of MIS data for the smooth implementation of the programmes.

The minister directed the department to organise zone-wise technical training on the CSS programme in the five regions – Siang, Lohit, Subansiri, Tawang and Papum Pare.

He also directed the project directors to hold monthly review meetings with block officials and submit the report on a monthly basis.

All project directors presented their respective performance on all CSS programmes of the RD department at the meeting.

Among others, Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng, RD secretary Amarnath Talwade, director Kego Jilen, project directors of DRDAs, block development officers attended the programme.
