Arunachal Pradesh home and rural development minister Bamang Felix on Tuesday dedicated two vital RCC bridges, constructed over Payin and Panyu rivers, to the people of Kurung Kumey district.
The bridge over Payin river (Nyobia circle) with a span of 15 metres was constructed by M/s Buru Enterprises
The bridge over Panyu river (Sangram circle) with a span of 45 metres and a road from BRTF to Laying via SDO headquarters in Sangram was constructed by M/s Tamchi Kusuk Construction Company under the Central Road Fund.
Addressing the gathering, Felix said the bridge over river Payin will not only connect several villages of the Nyobia circle with Sangram but would also act as a passage for the people of Parsi Parlo circle.
“On the other hand, the bridge over Panyu River will connect the Nyobia circle with Sangram and both the bridges will go a long way in bringing all-round development in the region,” he said.
Felix said the completion of the two key bridges was a part of his commitment to the people of his constituency.
“Proper road connectivity, consistent electricity and water supply, education and health continues to remain my top priority,” he said.
The minister further said the development of an area would only be possible if all sections of the society including the government officers and public leaders support the executing agency and department concerned while executing developmental projects.
Among others, Kurung Kumey deputy commissioner Kento Riba, superintendent of police Minjum Ete, Nyapin ADC Otem Jamoh, Sangram SDO Tsering Pentsom Monpa and Nyoba EAC Dr Dana Una were present on the occasion.
