Dibrugarh: The Tagin Cultural Society (TCS) of Arunachal Pradesh held the oath-taking ceremony for newly elected executive members on December 18.
The event took place at the TCS Secretariat-cum-Tagin Heritage Centre in Daporijo, in Arunachal Pradeshโs Upper Subansiri district.
In a resounding show of confidence in the existing leadership, Largi Rigia and Tuter Dulom were re-elected as President and Secretary General of the TCS for a second consecutive term.
Their selection was finalized by the “Search and Select Committee,” headed by Dr. Jei Mara, following extensive deliberations with senior community leaders and former members of the society.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including former Home Minister Daklo Nidak and former Dumporijo MLA Larbin Nasi, along with elders and community stakeholders.
The Tagin Cultural Society has been at the forefront of documenting tribal customs and maintaining the Tagin Heritage Centre as a hub for cultural education.
The ceremony concluded with the official signing of the oath registers, signaling a new chapter of governance for the society.
The newly formed executive body is expected to initiate several projects focused on the preservation of the Tagin language and traditional festivals in the coming months.
