An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale shook Chhattisgarh on Monday afternoon.
The earthquake occurred 122 km east-northeast of Jagdalpur.
Tremors were also felt in Kasipur area of Odisha’s Rayagada district.
This is the third earthquake since Sunday and second in 12 hours in the country.
It may be mentioned here that an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale hit Mizoram early on Monday morning, damaging several houses and churches.
The earthquake occurred 27 km south-southwest of Champhai in Mizoram at 4:10 am on Monday morning.
The state was hit by another earthquake of 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale at 4:16 pm on Sunday.
