The Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, offered prayers at the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple in Coxโs Bazar of Bangladesh on Sunday.
Informing about this, the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh on its official Twitter account on Sunday stated: โHigh Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla offered prayers at the ISKCON temple at Coxโs Bazar.โ

At a time when Indiaโs BJP-led NDA Government has been trying to give shelter to the Hindu Bangladeshis, who fled their country allegedly due to religious persecution, the Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Shringlaโs visit to the temple and offering of prayers in a โpeacefulโ environment bears much significance.

Coxโs Bazar, which is a town on the southeast coast of Bangladesh, is known for its very long, sandy beachfront, stretching from the sea beach in the north to Kolatoli Beach in the south.

Coxโs Bazar, situated alongside the beach of the Bay of Bengal, is the prime beach and tourist town in Bangladesh.
In a bid to make the most out of its 7,500 km-long coastline, India is also planning to begin cruise service to connect Chennai to Coxโs Bazar.
The Indian Government is also hopeful of attracting private players to operate on the route.
Pravir Pandey, chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) recently told a section of the media: โWe will soon start the India-Bangladesh coastal cruise line between Chennai and Coxโs Bazar.โ
