A 30-year-old man in Delhi lodged an FIR against his father for disobeying the nationwide lockdown norms and often venturing out of his home.

As per reports, the man went to the police station and sought to register an FIR against his father for repeatedly violating lockdown norms at Vasant Kunj area in Delhi.

He complained to the police that his 59-year-old father ventured out of their house daily despite repeated warnings by the family members.

The police registered an FIR and also issued a warning to the 59-year-old man, the father of the complainant.

The country is under a 21-day nationwide lockdown that has been imposed by the central government in an effort to curb the coronavirus pandemic.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the nationwide lockdown with effect from March 24 midnight.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in India on Friday climbed to 2301, including 156 cured and discharged and 56 deaths, said the Union ministry of health and family welfare.

While addressing the nation on Friday morning, Prime Minister Modi appreciated that the country has shown unprecedented discipline and collective spirit during these uncertain times of crisis.

He reiterated the importance of social distancing and urged every citizen to help implement the lockdown.

Union health minister Harsh Vardhan appealed to the patients and their families not to create hurdles in the work of doctors and other health workers.

He also expressed concern on the misbehaviour towards frontline workers across the country.

He further said they are “our Corona Warriors” who are continuously serving the nation to control and contain COVID19 pandemic.

Vardhan said the health workers’ contribution has been appreciated by the Prime Minister also as 156 COVID19 patients have recovered as of now.
