A total of 43,867 people have contributed Rs 95.13 crore to the Assam Arogya Nidhi to fight COVID-19 till Tuesday.

Informing this on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, health minister Sarma has expressed his gratitude to all the donors.

The minister also shared a statement showing the amount of donation received for COVID-19 in the bank account No (32124810101), for Assam Arogya Nidhi, maintained at SBI Assam Secretariat Branch with IFSC – SBIN0010755 and UPI ID – aancovid-19@sbi.

While sharing the statement, Sarma tweeted:  “Every drop counts! My gratitude to all those 43867 people who have generously contributed in Assam Arogya Nidhi to fight against #COVID19. Pleased to share that we have received a sum of Rs 95.13 cr so far.  Each & every help is hugely significant.”

According to the statement, 1511 donors contributed Rs 1,260,310.93 on March 26 while 1682 donors contributed 4,030,477.97 on March 27.

As per the statement, 875 donors contributed Rs 1,592,904.24 on March 28; 878 donors contributed Rs 3,465,250.00 on March 29; 714 donors contributed Rs 56,630,819.00 on March 30; 511 donors contributed Rs 12,375,276.00 on March 31.

On April 1, a total of 298 donors contributed Rs 716,074.00; 532 donors contributed Rs 40,178,154.72 on April 2; 402 donors contributed Rs 14,165.597.00 on March 3; 1144 donors contributed Rs 20,825,342.76 on March 4; 596 donors contributed Rs 1,086,312.11 on March 5.

On April 6, 971 donors contributed Rs 22,484,048.88; 657 donors contributed Rs 55,126,346.04 on April 7; 2311 donors contributed Rs 48,978,242.20 on April 8 and 19,039 donors contributed Rs 421,765,759.47 on April 9.

A total of 7,500 donors contributed 142,437,231.82 on April 10; 409 donors contributed 2,729,298.00 on April 11; 248 donors contributed Rs 691,964.00 on April 12 and on April 13 till 7:30 pm, 3067 donors contributed Rs 42,579,087.86.

As mentioned in the statement, the donation to the Trust are eligible for 100% deduction under section 80G(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
