Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, after donating Rs 25 crores to the PM CARES fund has now pledged to further contribute Rs 3 crore to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
This contribution will be made to assist the frontline workers engaged in the fight against COVID-19 for purchasing PPE, masks and rapid testing kits.
The news about the donation was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his twitter handle on Friday.
“After donating Rs25 crores to the PM CARES fund, Akshay Kumar contributes Rs3 crores to BMC to assist in the making of PPE, masks and rapid testing kits,” he twitted.

Kumar, apart from donations, has also been sharing and posting awareness videos and messages on COVID-19.
In his videos and messages, Akshay Kumar has been extensively speaking about the necessary precautionary steps needed to be taken to stay safe during the crisis.
