A workshop on Mathematics was organized at the Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Tezpur on Saturday.

The workshop titled as ‘Fourier Analysis’ at GIMT, Tezpur, located in Dekargaon, was attended as a resource person by Dr Dhiren Kumar Basnet, Associate Professor of Mathematics department at Tezpur University.

The programme was anchored by Sangeeta Baruah, Assistant Professor at GIMT-Tezpur.

The resource person was felicitated by the principal of GIMT-Tezpur, Dr Buljit Boragohain.

After the felicitation programme, Dr Basnet delivered a speech related to Fourier series.

The workshop benefitted the students of the institute a lot.

On Friday, another day-long workshop on ‘Stress Relief and Mental Health of Engineers’ was held at the Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Tezpur.

The workshop was organised for both students and faculty members.

It was participated by Sobhana H and Indrajeet Banerjee – both assistant professors of Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Institute of Mental Health (LGBIMH).

During the programme, both the invited speakers spoke about the importance of stress management.
