The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) is all set to declare the results of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) by the first week of May.

SEBA secretary Suranjana Senapati on Wednesday said at least 45 per cent work has been completed.

This year, SEBA is expected to declare the results of HSLC and AHM much before than last year.

Last year the results were declared mid-May.

This year the HSLC or matriculation and the Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examinations, 2020, begin from February 10 last.

The examinations continued till February 29.

A total of 3,58,446 students took the HSLC and AHM 2020 examinations across 860 centers in the State.

Of the candidates, 3,48,739 appeared for the HSLC examination and 9,707 for the AHM examination.

Several innovative measures were adopted by SEBA this year to make the examinations fair and transparent.

The HSLC and AHM examinations were conducted under CCTV cameras.

Signal Jammers were installed at various examination centers across the State to prevent students from using cellphones and other such devices.
