www.kaaaz.in, an e retail shop to be launched on Wednesday here is not your run of the mill online store through which you can order groceries and other stuff to be delivered at your doorstep. It is e retail with a lot of pluses.

Through Kaaaz, one can buy as well as sell.  One can also order for services like plumbers, electricians, beauticians, car rentals, camping and more.

Arindam Saikia, whose brainchild this is, said that one could not only order online but also sell vegetables, fruits and herbs. “Anybody who had vegetables, fruits and herbs, organic or inorganic, made pickles and jams and even vendors of prepared food could sell their stuff through Kaaaz,” he said.

In fact he had tied up with a kitchen to supply tiffin.  The order could be given here before hand and the tiffin would be picked up and delivered to the clients,” he further said.

Cuisine ranging from Assamese, North Indian, South Indian, Continental and Chinese would be available in the Kaaaz kitchen and one could start from breakfast to the thalis for lunch as well as try out from an array of desserts.

Arindam further said that apart from vegetables, fruits, fish, meat and groceries which could be bought and sold one could also order handlooms and handicrafts, confectionery items and services like car hire, camping and tourism apart from other services.

“We will also be stocking frozen food like prawns and mushrooms,” he said. For those who ordered first “there would be insane orders.” Arindam has planned to start this concept in Dibrugarh and other districts, once this goes on steam. Kaaaz will be operating under Shiversteel Private Limited owned by Arindam Saikia.

Arindam who has graduated from Queensland University, Australia in Food Technology is the son of Ananta Saikia, professor, department of Horticulture, Assam Agricultural University and Leena Saikia, entrepreneur whose enterprise Frontal
