As a wish list spills out of minimum income guarantee by national president of the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, offering, Rs 72,000 per year for the downtrodden, if voted to power, BJP leaders are fuming for making such tall claims and false promises.

Not to be left behind, rural development minister in the Uttar Pradesh government and in-charge of BJP in Assam to conduct forthcoming polls, Dr Mahendra Singh, came down heavily upon Rahul Gandhi’s comment in a press meet in Silchar on Tuesday.

Talking to the journalists at Cachar district BJP party headquarters, Dr Mahendra Singh, said, “Rahul Gandhi is the biggest liar in the world. If at all there is an award for it, I am sure he would win the gold medal.”

He added, “I say he is a big zero hence the family based pattern of politics is bringing all the members in the forefront. It is a pity to see a national part which had used the poor for their votes, is now sympathizing for the oppressed class.”

Mahendra Singh was quick in asserting that BJP led government at the Centre under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi has made selfless efforts in reviving the state of the poor in this country.

“Various schemes launched by the Centre and beautifully executed the State Government in tandem, have resulted in developmental works which is reflecting in places like Silchar too, now-a-days. This place has a massive commercial and strategic importance in the days to come,” Mahendra Singh, maintained.

Later in the day, he joined a rally at Karimganj for supporting BJP candidate Kripanath Mallah’s submission of his nomination papers amidst great enthusiasm.
