Both the men’s and women’s teams from Assam have reached Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, to participate in the in the 52nd Senior National Kho Kho Championship 2018-19.
Earlier, the names of the players from Assam were announced for participating in the 52nd Senior National Kho Kho Championship 2018-19.
The national kho kho tournament will be held from March 24 to March 28, 2019 at Chogan Stadium in Jaipur.
The players of the men’s squad include Bhaskar Gogoi, Parag Gogoi, Sudip Roy, Bir Kumar Panika, Abhijit Sonowal, Lakhyajyoti Sonowal, Kiran Boro, Nitul Boro, Pitu Das, Simanta Das, Morom Rajbongshi and Sanjib Das. The coach and director of the men’s squad are Mithun Das and Lakhyajit Medhi respectively.
The players of the women’s squad include Monalisa Barua, Dipsikha Sonowal , Rimjhim Sonowal, Barbie Gogoi, Rita Panik, Papori Moran, Sanghamitra Basumatary, Dimpy Kalita, Anamika Boro, Nilima Deka , Namrata Sonowal and Suneya Rabha. The coach and director of the women’s squad are Hironmoy Gohain and Rimpimoni Moran respectively.
Both the men’s and women’s teams from Assam are hopeful of giving a good performance and bring laurels to the State.
