Bhupinder Singh, manager of Nagameez restaurant at Jayanagar in Guwahati was mowed down by an Innova on at around 11.50 pm on January 13 at Jayanagar Chariali. 35-five-year old Singh was from Diphu in Karbi Anglong district.
Since Guwahati City Police is still clueless and have failed to arrest anyone, Northeast Now has raised some questions about the murder:
# Why has Guwahati Police failed to arrest the killer driver or confiscate the vehicle even after 96 hours of the murder?
# The CCTV footage which gave a side view of the Innova vehicle was apparently taken from a nearby shop. Why didn’t the Guwahati Police install CCTV cameras at Jayanagar Chariali?
# Why was one Sanjib Paul, an illegal coal trader was arrested in the connection? What he had to do with the murder of Bhupinder Singh?
# Family members of Bhupinder Singh alleged that it was a pre-planned murder. Why are the police silent over the allegation?
# People in Jayanagar Chariali area alleged that the two females and the male driver of the vehicle were “influential people”. Is the government or the police trying to protect the “influential” killer driver?
