Dibrugarh District Sports Association is organizing Bordoloi trophy football matches for the first time in Dibrugarh.
The trophy is being organized under the aegis of Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Assam and Guwahati Sports Association. This is the 66th edition of Bordoloi trophy.
As the Bordoloi trophy is being hosted for the first time, sports lovers here are enthusiastic.
Six matches of group ‘A’ of the 65th Bharat Ratna Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football tournament 2018 will be played in Chowkidinghee field, Dibrugarh.
The four teams in group ‘A’ are: BSF Jalandhar, Oil India FC Duliajan, Shillong & ASEB SC.
The matches will be played on 27th, 28th, 30th, 31st October and 2nd & 3rd November. Kick off time: 1:30pm.
“I am very much excited to see matches of Bordoloi trophy football tournament here because for the first time Dibrugarh is chosen as one of the venues,’’ a football lover said.
DDSA has been working round the clock to make the tournament successful.
Bordoloi trophy is one of the major football tournament in Assam where renowned club teams from other state will participate. In 1952, Bordoloi football trophy was first started.
