Udalguri: The District Administration of Assam’s Udalguri has officially launched the Jan Bhagidari Campaign across all development blocks of the district with the guiding vision, โ€œSabse Door, Sabse Pehleโ€, from May 18 to May 25, 2026.

The week-long campaign aims to ensure that government welfare schemes and essential public services reach the remotest tribal villages and underserved communities through last-mile service delivery, public participation, and inclusive governance.

According to the district administration, the campaign focuses on benefit saturation, awareness generation, grievance redressal, health and social security coverage, livelihood initiatives, and empowering tribal households through direct outreach and Jan Sunwai programmes.

Inspired by the spirit of Jan Bhagidari, or peopleโ€™s participation, the initiative seeks to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out from accessing government entitlements and welfare measures.

The campaign also aims to strengthen awareness regarding documentation, financial inclusion, healthcare access, pension schemes, educational support, and livelihood opportunities among tribal communities.

As part of the programme, Jan Sunwai sessions are being organised across different development blocks of the district from May 21 to May 23.

On May 21, Jan Sunwai programmes are being held at Bhergaon Development Block, Kalaigaon Development Block, and Bechimari Development Block.

The outreach campaign on May 22 will cover Khoirabari Development Block, Mazbat Development Block, and Pub Mangaldai Development Block. The concluding phase on May 23 will include Udalguri Development Block and Rowta Development Block.

The District Administration has appealed to citizens, community leaders, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to actively participate in the campaign and contribute towards making the initiative successful.
