Bajali: A tense situation unfolded inside Assam’s Manas National Park after a rhinoceros aggressively charged at a safari vehicle in the Bansbari forest range, triggering panic among tourists and forest staff onboard.
According to sources, the animal suddenly approached the vehicle during a safari and repeatedly attacked it with force.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident. The safari team managed to move the vehicle away from the spot after a few tense moments.
Known for its rich biodiversity and its famous population of one-horned rhinoceroses, Manas National Park continues to attract thousands of wildlife enthusiasts and tourists every year.
Meanwhile, Manas National Park will remain closed to tourists from June 25 until further notice, suspending all ecotourism activities, including jeep safaris, elephant safaris, and water-based activities.
The annual closure is intended to reduce wildlife disturbance ahead of the monsoon season.
