Imphal: Leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) visited Manipur and are currently in Imphal, interacting with students at a school in Manipurโs Thangmeiband Assembly constituency on February 1, 2026.
Parag Abhyankar, Akhil Bharatiya Seva Pramukh of the RSS, along with Rajesh Deshkar, Seva Pramukh of RSS Assam Kshetra, interacted with students staying at the free residential school facility during their visit.
The educational institute is run by the Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO) at Khuyathong, Imphal West.
During the interaction, the RSS leaders were accompanied by Saikhom Raju Singh, Seva Pramukh of Manipur Prant; Wahengbam Rorrkychand Singh, Imphal Vibhag Sah-Prachar Pramukh; and Thokchom Gunajit Singh, Pracharak of Imphal Jilla.
The visiting leaders spent time with the students, inquiring about their studies, daily routines, and overall well-being. They encouraged the students to focus on education, discipline, and character building, stressing the importance of holistic development for a brighter future.
The leaders appreciated the efforts of TAKDO and the local MLA, Khumukcham Jaykisan Singh, in providing free residential education and support to children and students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
The MLA, who also joined the visit, motivated the students to work hard and make the best use of the facilities provided. He lauded the initiative for contributing to the educational upliftment of society.
