Canadian legendary singer Bryan Adams to perform in Shillong on December 10, 2024

Guwahati: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has said Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Bryan Adams is all set to perform at the Polo Grounds in the stateโ€™s capital Shillong on December 10 this year.

In a social media post, CM Sangma said, โ€œHi friends. I just want to inform you that the legendary Bryan Adams will be coming to Shillong, the rock capital of India on the 10th of December at the JN Stadium.โ€

Chief Minister Sangma said the people of Meghalaya love music and Bryan Adamโ€™s concert is another testament of that love for music.

โ€œWe all love music and this concert is another testament of that love for music,โ€ the Chief Minister added in his post.

This will be the legendary singerโ€™s first performance in Meghalaya. The Polo Grounds at the newly renovated JN Stadium can accommodate more than 30,000 people.

He has won 20 โ€˜Juno Awardsโ€™ and a โ€˜Grammy Awardโ€™ for best song written for visual media amongst 16 Grammy nominations and has been nominated for five โ€˜Golden Globe Awardsโ€™ and three โ€˜Academy Awardsโ€™ for his songwriting for films.

Bryan Adams has been inducted into the โ€˜Hollywood Walk of Fame,โ€™ โ€˜Canadaโ€™s Walk of Fame,โ€™ the โ€˜Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame,โ€™ the โ€˜Canadian Music Hall of Fameโ€™ and the โ€˜Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.โ€™
