The Nagaon Police have arrested another suspected drug peddler on Friday from the Aminpatty area in the town.
The person has been identified as Syed Sadik Awal of the Aminpatty area.
Superintendent of Police Anand Mishra said that during the operation the police seized 84 vials of heroin seized along with some syringes.
He added that constant operations and monitoring are being undertaken in the area to prevent any crime.

A police officer said that the raid was conducted based on a specific input but before the police could reach the spot, another person who was suspected to be with Awal managed to flee.
Operations to nab all linked persons are still on.

The arrested person was said to be involved in such crimes for several years.
A source said that many people in the area have been involved in such crimes but some “nexus” have been protecting them but now efforts are being taken to take down all sorts of “criminals” in the area.
