Earthquake in Arunachal Pradesh

An earthquake of 3.1 Magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Arunachal Pradesh at 11.15 pm on Monday.

The news has been confirmed by the National Center for Seismology (NCS) on its Twitter handle.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicenter of the earthquake was located 78 km west of Basar in the Lepa-Rada district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The earthquake (Lattitude: 28.07 & Longitude: 93.90) occurred at a depth of 10 km.

“Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.1, Occurred on 29-11-2021, 23:15:49 IST, Lat: 28.07 & Long: 93.90, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 78km W of Basar, Arunachal Pradesh, India,” NCS tweeted.

The tremor was also felt in neighbouring Assam’s Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts.

However, there have been no reports of any casualties or damages caused due to the earthquake.

Meanwhile, an earthquake of Magnitude 4.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Myanmar at 2.52 am on Tuesday.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake (Lat: 20.89 & Long: 93.96) was located in the Minbu district of Myanmar.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 156 km, the NCS said.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 30-11-2021, 02:52:10 IST, Lat: 20.89 & Long: 93.96, Depth: 156 Km, Location: 235km WSW of Burma, Myanmar,” NCS tweeted.
